I really didn’t know that I have a passion for writing. Back then I write at my Blogger blog to express my thoughts and the experience in my life. Blogging back then was just a word internet geeks but now we have Vlog and the reality TV shows.
Also we have this other avenues of expressing oneself like the forum, online groups, online journal, Twitter, and even express yourself visually using Instagram and other image base platforms. But with all that internet gurus found a way to monetize the internet. Thus the rise of internet income. The top of these so-called internet income source will be Google Adsense.
For the third time already I got my Adsense payout. Remember the first time I posted about my first Adsense payout(click here to read it)? Yes today I just cash in my third Google Adsense payout through Western Union. It wasn’t that huge and to think of it was so small since it took me more than a year this time just to reach the threshold of $100.00 to get payout.
How did I earn from Adsense? Well it wasn’t easy.
If you think this blog alone generated that income you are wrong. I have several blogs in Blogger, WordPress.com, and self-hosted blogs. I have all my Adsense in all of them and I only got a little more than a hundred. Before I was asked if it was worth it writing and sharing endlessly just to get cents. Well it is all about being of service to you, my readers. I wrote blogs to share the knowledge I know and to have a few cents is already a bonus. It nice to know that my little post and sharing do help people in their financial life.
Our era now has surpassed the industrial age where money comes from created products. Right now what really drives and changes the economy and society itself is information or knowledge. In the past there were things considered impossible but today yesteryear’s science fiction is now a reality.
As for my part as a blogger I want to help my kababayans to understand how to take care of their finances. Yes the Philippines is really in a sweet spot with the growing economy. We need to prepare the Filipino people how to handle such. It is a fact that money changes a person and it could either destroy or improve a person. It is common story to hear a person who hit a jackpot whether getting a big bonus, closing a big deal, discovering the new hit product, or just a plain luck in the lottery to see them spending here and there. Enjoying things they never had and sooner or latter we hear about them back to where they were before and worst is that they are even buried deeper in debt than before.
So I call all bloggers, certified public accountants, lawyers, doctors, scientist, moralist, and others who has that specific skills or knowledge to share some of what you know to help out the people who need information how to fix their lives and if they are able to make it better that is already a bonus. Be a source of inspiration and who knows the money will come as a reward for all your efforts to help.
A word of caution. Being in the side of the knowledge provider/source, I would like to remind you that with great powers comes with great responsibilities. Be mindful of the knowledge that you dispense. It might sound good to one but it might bring ruin to another. Always make things clear and if you know that you don’t have the authority to talk about a topic always refer other people to people who have the authority to do so.
Sharing is the best way to enjoy a blessing. So awhile ago I went out for lunch and got myself a DQ Blizzard. I was supposed to treat my niece for lunch but she is still not in the mood to eat so we will go out again later for dinner. Also I decided to share some to charity either by giving it to the church or donate it to some charitable institutions. Of course don’t ever forget yourself, treat yourself. Such act is like a pat on the shoulder affirming your hard work. I was thinking buying my long coveted wireless headphone but Philips has it at Php 4,500.00(more than what I got from Adsense) or getting one of Francis Kong’s famous books series “Business Matters” but unfortunately I can find a single copy in National Bookstore here in SM San Lazaro.
Well there will be other days for those. Just right now I just wanted to share how to share and be satisfied knowing that you have imparted something that might help your neighbor.
Keep sharing and soon it will come back to you hundredfold. Contribute to the betterment of your society.
Louise, nice to have your thoughts today. “Keep sharing and soon it will come back a hundrefold”. Regards.
Some people know passive income is very important, but sad to say many people focus on active income. Rich people work hard to create passive income, but poor people work hard to spend all their earnings and keep on doing active income job.
That’s why there are real estate rentals and paper assets like stocks, uitf and mutual funds. Rich people has these investment vehicles. I hope most Filipinos realize the importance of “money work for man” not man work for money.
Thank you Bro Louise for this great insight. Keep up the good work ^_^
Thanks Mary Grace for the additional insight about Pinoy’s current investment thinking. Let’s push for an investing generation. By the way it is only Louis 🙂 , no “e” in the end 🙂
Thanks!
I guess we should continuously educate our kababayan on different avenues for learning income. Go ahead bro, I’ll support your advocacies.
