Online Stockbroker: COL to offer BPI UITF and Sun Life investment product

COL Financial, the Philippines leading online brokerage firm, will not only be serving online stock trading services but will include investment products like UITF(Unit Investment Trust Fund) of BPI(Bank of the Philippine Islands) and mutual funds of Sun Life Asset Management Company Inc.(source: http://www.philstar.com).

Aside from the traditional online stock trading services of COL Financial, additional online investment products will now be available through COL’s stock trading platform. A memorandum of agreement was sign separately between BPI and Sun Life to widen COL’s investment offerings aside from buy stocks. The said move will benefit the three institutions by enabling wider investment distribution and an expected increase in client base. COL will now not only help their clients how to buy stock but will also guide clients in picking the right investment vehicles which could be a UITF or a mutual fund.

Such services are in the works. COL is awaiting their mutual fund distributor license from the SEC before they offer mutual fund.
