I am Titanium!

After several days of red marks, the Philippine Stock Exchange finally turn green.

It was devastating to see and hear news about how typhoon Yolanda(Haiyan) hit most part of Visayas and such tragedy may have driven investors to think twice about their investments in the Philippines. But I guess just like the song the Philippines is titanium.

As I read news and other social media post, excluding the fourth quarter, the Philippines still posted a good growth rate and still said to be the best in South East Asian region. Also we have seen how our top honchos or billionaires has extended financial help to the victims. I hear here and there of 100 million peso pledges or relief from our riches businessmen even after knowing that their businesses in the area were looted or ransacked after the typhoon. I guess they did give because they know the people will bounce back from this tragedy even stronger and in order to ride with that bounce they have to help the victims to be back at their feet.

Yes it is scary to invest with all the damages and negative news in the country but always remember that we are Filipinos. We can get pass this and we are strong like a titanium.
